Hello, My husband and I filed for bankruptcy. It has been almost a year now, but our current car loan, mortgage and 2nd mortgage were NOT included in the settlement. We have an excellent history of payments on all of the mentioned. My husband checked his credit report and it states bankruptcy not reported "at this time." I am looking to refinance my used car. When I purchased the vehicle, my step-father's name was put on the loan in addition to mine. My current lender does not allow for refinancing, so I have to look elsewhere in order to have my step-father taken off of the loan.
